CCHS Ranks High in US News & World Report “Best High Schools” – Culver City Crossroads

US News and World Report recently shared the Best High Schools scorecard in the United States – Culver City High School did well, scoring as competitive among the schools in the area. CCUSD Superintendent Dr. Alfonso Jiménez noted “While we were not at the very top of this list for area schools, we were within a percent and a half of the highest score in the area. The scores were based upon the following metrics: number of AP exams taken, passage rate of at least one AP exam, mathematics proficiency, reading proficiency, science proficiency and graduation rate. These metrics make up the scorecard used to obtain the overall score out of 100 points.”

Top in the area was Amino Leadership ( a public charter school, operated by Green Dot) followed by Beverly Hills High School, then followed by Culver City. Below CCHS in the rankings were El Segundo, Hamilton, and Redondo Union.

Culver City High School was also ranked 139 out of 1,297 comprehensive California high schools.
