The Chargers will donate their portion of the 50/50 raffle proceeds from their annual Hispanic Heritage Game, presented by Verizon, to the California Community Foundation ‘LA Neighbor’s Support Fund.’
In conjunction with the NFL’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Los Angeles Chargers and presenting partner Verizon, will amplify the rich history, heritage and tradition of Latinos while honoring the community’s positive impact on the game of football, our city and country during the team’s divisional battle with the Denver Broncos on Sunday, Sept. 21 at SoFi Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. PT.
As part of a continued commitment to making a positive impact in the Los Angeles community, the Chargers will donate the team’s portion of this Sunday’s 50/50 raffle proceeds to the California Community Foundation’s LA Neighbor’s Support Fund. Committing direct financial assistance for families of immigrants impacted by recent events across the Southland, the California Community Foundation’s LA Neighbors Support Fund is the embodiment our community coming together to help each other in a time of great need. Left without the means to secure everyday items like food, clothing, diapers and rent, these impacted families are facing a very real humanitarian crisis.
In addition to the Chargers’ contribution, fans in attendance at the game may also donate to the LA Neighbors Support Fund and help provide food and cash assistance for basic necessities directly to those who need it most by visiting https://www.pledge.to/LAneighbors or texting LANEIGHBORS to 707070.
Also unique to Sunday’s game, the Chargers – in partnership with Verizon – have teamed up with local nonprofits to spearhead a month-long Lifting Latino Voices campaign to empower and connect with aspiring young professionals interested in pursuing a career in broadcast journalism. These emerging talents shared submissions in the lead-up to Sunday’s home opener on why they are interested in pursuing this career path. The winner will be featured on the video board and get the opportunity to meet Chargers Spanish Radio Play-by-Play announcer Adrian Garcia-Marquez and analyst Francisco Pinto during the Bolts’ matchup against the Broncos.
Prior to the game, several musical acts will be featured in the American Airlines Plaza and on the Energy Stage including performances by Chargers House Banda – presented by Pacifico – and 3x Grammy nominee and America’s first all-female mariachi band Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles. The celebration of Latino music will also feature LAPD Detective and native East L.A. mariachi singer Chris Reza, who will perform the national anthem ahead of kickoff.
Fans are encouraged to remain in their seats at halftime for a special performance featuring American Idol Season 23 contestant and Los Angeles native Mikey “MKY” Jimenez. The Mexican American singer is best known for his soulful R&B and Latin romance music. Earlier this year, MKY captivated the Latino-American audience during his viral “Hollywood Week” performance of the song “Sabor a Mí.”
Chargers Spanish-language TV and radio partner Que Buena Los Angeles will also have a presence at the game, highlighted by a special announcement by Don Cheto, host of Los Angeles’ No. 1 Spanish-language morning radio show “Don Cheto Al Aire (DCAA).” A cultural icon within the Latino community, Don Cheto also recorded a tongue and cheek version of the team’s code of conduct for fans to view as they enter SoFi Stadium.
The team will also recognize this year’s Latino Heritage Award Winner, Veronica Corona, and the Chargers’ 2025 NFL Latino Youth Honors Nominees Oscar Rios and Livier Jeraldin Andrade Covarrubias during pregame. Corona is committed to empowering small business owners and championing Hispanic representation – especially as only the second woman Chair of the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce – making her a powerful force for economic growth, community impact, and inspirational leadership. Chargers Latino Youth Honors Nominee Rios is one of the nation’s top quarterbacks in the 2026 class. Rounding out his senior year at Downey High, Rios proudly embraces his culture through language, traditions, and family values that guide him both on and off the field. Passionate about dance and her Latina heritage, Chargers Latino Youth Honors Nominee Andrade carries a deep connection to her culture, especially through Folklórico. She introduced the art form to her school, creating a space to celebrate tradition and inspire younger generations. Beyond the Folklórico stage, Andrade is one of the top girl’s flag football players in the city. Of the 32 team’s youth nominations, eight national finalists will be selected – one from each NFL division – where they have a chance to win $25,000 in college grants.
Leading up to the game and in the team store on gameday (Level 4, South Endzone), Chargers will offer exclusive Latino Heritage themed merchandise, while supplies last. Commemorative Puro Chargers themed rally towels will be passed out to fans as they enter the stadium. Merchandise can be viewed HERE.
