The four corners of the intersection of Sepulveda and Slauson were crowded with protesters at the most recent “Hands Off” rally on May 10, 2025. From 11 am to 1 pm, there was chanting and shouting, and plenty of passing cars honking in agreement. Signs that said “IMPEACH, REMOVE, CONVICT,” “Stephen Miller Creeps Me Out,” “Due Process is Not Optional,” and a photo of Secretary of State Clinton and Vice President Harris with the caption “We F***ing Warned You,” all waved at the traffic.
Rather than obstruct the intersection, protesters walked across with signage every time the traffic light changed, staying well within the legal limits but still amplifying their message.
From it’s beginning at 11 am, the crowd continued to swell with more protesters until it covered Sepulveda from the corner in front of the Citibank building down to the onramp for the 10 freeway. The amount of honking in agreement from the cars, and cheering in response from the sidewalk was so loud at times it was almost cacophony.
According to We the People, protests took place on May 10, 2025 all over the country. California was crowded with “Hands Off” rallies from Pasadena to Palo Alto, from Signal Hill to Sebastopol, along with some ‘Tesla Takedowns” happening in North Hollywood, Long Beach, Los Gatos and Sacramento.
More protest are being planned for this month; Culver City is likely to be a location.
