The Los Angeles Rams have signed wide receiver BRITAIN COVEY to a one-year contract, the team announced today (Monday, May 5)
Covey has appeared in 38 regular season games (one start) with the Philadelphia Eagles over the last three seasons (2022-24) and recorded 11 receptions for 76 yards. As a punt returner, he tallied 771 yards on 68 attempts with a long of 54 in 2023. He also totaled 236 yards on 11 attempts with a long of 30 yards as a kick returner last season.
Covey joined the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2022 after playing collegiately at Utah (2015, 2018-21). He played in 47 games (23 starts) with the Utes and left the school ranked first in career punt return yards (1,092), second in receptions (184), third in all-purpose yards (4,241) and sixth in receiving yards (2,011). Covey led the Utes in receiving yards in 2015, 2018 and 2020. He earned All-America honors five times and totaled five All-Pac-12 selections, four as a returner. He also was named to the All-Pac-12 First-Team in 2018, 2020 and 2021.
